ADVERSE EFFECTS

Any medical / cosmetic procedure or treatment has its own adverse events. With anti-wrinkle treatment the potential side effects are:

Bruising, swelling which will improve with in a week or two and applying a cold compress will lessen the symptom.
Asymmetry can occur due to individual facial anatomy – treated with extra doses depending on the response to the treatment
Headache immediately after the treatment – usually improves with simple analgesics.
Drooping eyelids, heavy brows, double vision are very rare and spontaneously resolves in few weeks.
Allergic reactions are very rare and please do contact Dr Narayan immediately and seek medical attention ASAP.

What to Expect During Treatment

Dr Narayan will prepare the skin to minimise the risk of infection.
Fine needle is injected into skin – the dose and number of injections depend on the clients need.
Expect to have minimal discomfort / stinging sensation during injection.
Expect to have mild bruising and swelling but not always.

After Care Instructions

Avoid massage up to 6 hours post treatment.
Avoid rubbing over the treatment area for up to 6 hours after injection.
Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating for 6 to 12 hours post treatment.
Avoid lying flat post procedure for up to 4 to 6 hours.
Avoid alcohol for 6 hours following antiwrinkle treatment.
Apply Ice packs for bruising and swelling as needed.

Generally, the duration of treatment ranges between 15 – 30 minutes, although it may vary depending on the client’s treatment requirement.

Usually, anti-wrinkle lasts from 10 to 12 weeks depending on the treatment area and individuals, extent of the facial movement and the volume loss

Avoid aesthetic procedures 2 weeks prior to any significant events or travel. Avoid taking blood thinning medications (fish oil, aspirin) if appropriate after consulting with your doctor.
