Any medical / cosmetic procedure or treatment has its own adverse events. With anti-wrinkle treatment the potential side effects are:

  • Bruising, swelling which will improve within a week or two and applying a cold compress will lessen the symptom.
  • Asymmetry can occur due to individual facial anatomy
  • Allergic reactions are very rare and please do contact Dr Narayan immediately and seek medical attention ASAP.


  • Dr Narayan will prepare the skin to minimise the risk of infection
  • Topical anaesthetics if needed for lips and local anaesthetic injection which does sting for few seconds before injecting the dermal filler
  • Expect to have minimal discomfort and sense of fullness due to filler
  • Expect to have bruising and swelling but not always.


  • Do not sleep on your face for 24 hrs
  • In case of mild swelling and bruising – Apply ice pack.
  • Avoid applying make up for up to 24 hrs.
  • Avoid sweating, excessive physical activity, massaging for 12 hrs
  • Avoid hot and humid exposure
  • Keep well hydrated
